A bid for a complete Tyrannosaurus rex fossil ended with an anonymous buyer paying $31.8 million.
The T-Rex’s name is Stan, and he’s now the most expensive dinosaur fossil ever sold. Coming across a dinosaur fossil as complete as Stan is a rarity for paleontologists, making him extra valuable. Spending over $30 million, the buyer probably has a good-sized room to fit the 40-foot-long creature.
